On 31 March we celebrate Joy's Legacy on the anniversary of her birthday. This year we are delighted to share the event with Friends of 1953 school award donors.
We would love to host more alumni guests, but for this year, as we all get used to being out and about a little more, we are visiting with a small group of our dear friends, with an equally smallish group of students.
On Thursday 31 March 2022, our alumni bring along stories of school uniform and important school milestones and happenings through the years. There will be sharing of stories and memories of school including for example the design of the School's badge as we know it today.
Our Year 7 House Representatives look forward to hosting and sharing their stories of school today!
Thank you for the preciuos gifts of lifelong learning and friendships to generations of students.

About Joy's Legacy Programme
Our legacy programme is named after our first major legator Miss Joy Debney, teacher of History 1954 and 1991. Joy was and Head of Junior School between was School Archivist, and she remained close to the School throughout her retirement at Music concerts and other reunions and events. Joy passed away in March 2017.
Joy’s devotion to the School and students is remembered in many aspects of school life, including Debney House. On the anniversary of her birthday on 31st March, we express our thanks for Joy’s Legacy and the legators who follow her commitment.
We hope that others will consider leaving a legacy to Tonbridge Grammar School as a fitting testament to the value of TGS in the transformative power of education. We recognise that giving in this way is very personal and encourage you to contact Pippa Blackstone to talk through the particular area of school life where you’d like your legacy to make a difference.
