Support TGS

Ways to support Tonbridge Grammar School are varied and include donating to our School Fund, Facilities Fund or Bursary Fund or considering leaving a legacy to TGS. Additionally students benefit greatly from you sharing your professional experience with them and volunteering your time to the PTA brings a wide range of vibrant events to our wider community.

Give to School Fund

Your generous donations to School Fund provide students with a wide variety of extra opportunities that are not possible to deliver via the government funding the school receives alone and facilities that support 21st century learners. To date this has included the library and a school librarian; co-curricular activities in music, sport, STEM, competitions, whole school celebrations (inc Culture Day, Sports Day, end of school year celebration), debating, mini bus for transport to sporting events/community outreach , maintaining the all-weather pitch, careers programme.

Give to Facilities

Generous donations have made the following projects possible: The Hands Building (2008), The IBarn (2015), Music upgrade (2016), Outdoor Sport (2018). Boilers, solar panels, window replacements, security gates, access stairs to Mitchener Hall, STEM Environmental and Meadow (2021), Wellbeing Hub (2021), Fitness Suite (2021).

The Vision for Future School group is working towards realising a short and a longer term development plan, to meet and reflect the changing needs of education and environment targets. A high priority is for the whole school site to be accessible to all users. The objective for 2024-2025 is to realise works in the Technology Block: A lift, and upgrades to teaching classrooms in DT and in Science.
