We are approaching Tonbridge Grammar School’s 120th anniversary!   

During school year 2024 – 2025 we are planning reunions, school events and activities to celebrate this important milestone. We would like to explore our school heritage during the significant periods of our world and school history. We would like to prepare our school for the future.   

TGS Staff are launching our TGS 120 year!

On Sunday 1 September come along for a fun day!  Cheer on and sponsor our 19 strong TGS staff Boat Race Team.  You won't miss us!  We shall be the only secondary school taking part in the race this year!

Tonbridge Lion's dragon boat race. All proceeds from the event will be donated to local charities and good causes.

The annual Lion's dragon boat race will take place at the Watergate (Big Bridge) Tonbridge High Street.

An action packed day. Teams will compete in the heats from 9.30am to 3.00pm followed by the grand final.

Dragon boating is a fun-filled, adrenaline pumping, water sports activity. Teams compete in Dragon Boats, which are large canoe-like vessels fitted with ornately carved dragon's heads and tails. Crews of up to 16 people sit in pairs and paddle to compete in races over distances of around 250m.

On the same weekend the Tonbridge food and drink festival will also be taking place on the Racecourse Sportsground.
