Call for Oxbridge Volunteer Practice Interviewers 25.26. November 2025

Year on yea we are incredibly grateful for the year on year help from TGS alumni, parents, and other friends of Tonbridge Grammar School who are teachers, relevant experts, undergraduates or graduates of Oxford and Cambridge and who give their invaluable time and expertise to help prepare our students for their application interview.  The cohort of Oxbridge undergraduates is strong.  11 TGS students take up places this Autumn.

We have some 40 students applying this year 25.26.  We aim to offer them at least one practice interview from within our wonderful school network. 

We are keen to grow our network. Please let us know if you can introduce us to someone willing to support this vital part of candidate preparation.

The RSVP includes some basic information from you, to enable us to make a start with the planning process.

• Oxbridge Practice Interviews will be conducted during November 2024
• Online Teams or In person if preferred
• Interviews will be 30 minutes, starting at 1.30pm and 2pm Monday to Friday, or at another time outside school hours to suite the availability of the interviewer.
• TGS follows strict safeguarding policies and each Microsoft Teams meeting will be supervised and recorded by TGS staff.  Any communications between interviewer and TGS student afterwards will be by prior consent and via email copied to a staff member.
