TGS Book Club Wednesday 22 April at 7pm
We enjoyed the company of our 'unreliable Americans' last week and had an interesting discussion about The Catcher in the Rye and We Have Always Lived in the Castle although we might have appreciated a male perspective on The Catcher in the Rye.
Next time we are reading two books that are written in the second person, Open Water by Caleb Azumah Nelson and The Diver's Clothes Lie Empty by Vendela Vida. Both books are short, but this is an unusual authorial choice, to place the reader at the centre of the action and can be a challenging read.
We would love to see some new faces joining this very welcoming group so, in World Book Week, why not give one or both of these books a try and come along to the Library on Wednesday 22 April at 7pm to see what other people thought.
Please let us know you are coming by registering for the event.
