On Wednesday 29 June 2022 TGS Sixth Form students Abby, Aditi, Anna, Jessica, Pooja and Soha courageously and cheerfully walked the whole way round Bewl Water in support of TheBigStepOut organised by our dear friend Sue Mott, Trustee of Carers Stepping Out.
Thanks to Hams Travel for getting the student team to Bewl and back to School. We would not have been able to go without your help. Thank you for your part in helping to raise the profile of the vital and often lonely work of carers.
Along the way we walked and talked about service to the community, plans post school, and there was time for lots of general chat. We laughed, we bravely walked on despite sore feet, and we took in some beautiful views along the way. Before and after the walk we chatted with the Stepping Out team and with participants, appreciating the vital work that they do to bring smiles to carers and the cared for.
TGS alumni students Morgan, Sian, Ella, Daisy, Shivin, and Abby will no doubt recall a sunny walk with Carers at Penshurst Place in September 2018. Find the news item here
