Online 30 Careers Conversation for Law

The very first Online 30! I enjoyed our productive careers conversation and encourage other alumni to get involved in this fantastic project.

A real positive of online school at Tonbridge Grammar School has been the launch of Online 30, a thirty minute career conversation, practice interview, or small group webinar. Slotted in to the ever busy schedules of both volunteers and students, Online 30 enables many more positive connections with our alumni and networks locally, nationally and internationally, in a way that we were not doing before.  Nothing beats ‘face to face’ and visits to School, but we are delighted that Online 30 can take our students to our alumni and networks and benefit from their experience and inspirations.

TGS alum Rachel class of 2014 and Elena year 12 launched our ‘Online30’ programme this week with a fascinating and incredibly helpful online careers conversation which will help Elena decide whether she would like to pursue a career in the Law.  Elena said afterwards “I had a brilliant time and found it amazingly useful”.  We are enormously grateful to Rachel and we look forward to her next Online 30. Look out for her post on LinkedIN.

Online 30 for Law with Rachel and Elena was the best 30 minutes of my lockdown so far! There is an immediate affinity between a current student and someone who they know to be linked to the School, which makes the conversation productive and relaxed. I recommend the experience to anyone remotely interested in passing on to young people the passions you have for the work you do - and what you might do differently if you had your time again. Your input is invaluable to their informed choices. Please get in touch with me and join Online 30.
