Sad news of Mrs Danni Taylor former French teacher and colleague

We are sorry to have to share news that Mrs Danni Taylor died last week. Mrs Taylor taught French at TGS during the 70's 80's and 90's.

Jane Dawson former staff colleague shares very sad news of colleague Mrs Danni Taylor's death last week.

"Danni taught French at the School from, I think, the mid-70s to the 90s.  As a native French speaker she brought a rigour and dedication to her teaching which was enjoyed by many pupils over the years.  Her later years were marred by ill-health through which her husband, Geoff, one time Deputy Head at Judd, cared for her.

The funeral will be affected by the current situation and be largely a family affair I believe."

Our thanks to Jane Dawson for sharing this sad news.
Readers will also recall Mrs Dawson who was at TGS from 1969 to 1993. Jane was on the staff for the whole of BCM's (Miss Barnbara Mitchener) tenure as Head Teacher.  During her time Jane was in charge of Careers, Head of Sixth Form and finally second Deputy Head.
