Remembering Lindsay Higgins (nee Bowser) class of 1966

Remembering Lindsay Higgins (nee Bowser) TGS 1962 to 1965/1966

It is with sadness that I write to inform you of the recent death of Lindsay Higgins (nee Bowser). She died after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis in her home in Cambridge.

Lindsay attended TGS from 1962 to 1965/6, and was a weekly boarder at Kentleys. We met when she joined us and bonded over our love of Horses and other animals, and remained friends until her death in June 2025.

Lindsay and her family welcomed me to their home in Sussex on many occasions, and I became very close to them, visiting often to ride their horses with Lindsay, and commune with their Persian Cats, and Dartmoor Ponies (who could often be seen pulling Mrs. Bowsers pony trap around Hailsham.)

After we all left TGGS Viviene and I emigrated to Canada in 1966, and Lindsay joined us in Canada when she graduated from Technical College in London. She lived in Canada, with my sister, Vivienne Rock, and I, for a short time in 1967 to 1969,  when she married Rick Higgins - another EX-pat. from England. After having two children in Canada (Jason and Karen) Mr. and Mrs. Higgins returned to Sussex in 1973, and lived in Cambridge.

For anyone who remembers LIndsay, in lieu of Flowers, please send donations to your local MS Society in her name.

Sincerely

Lorraine Rock TGGS Alumni '64
